Academic documents

Most applications ask for certificates and transcripts for your SSC, HSC or equivalent, and for your bachelor’s degree if you are applying for postgraduate study. Some institutions ask for certified copies or verification.

English-language evidence

Usually a test result such as IELTS or TOEFL. Check the minimum overall score and any minimum score for each skill.

Statement of purpose

Explain why this course, why this institution and why now, using specific examples from your own experience. It must be your own writing.

References and CV

References are usually from teachers or employers who know your work well. Postgraduate applications often ask for a CV.

Financial documents

Financial evidence is normally needed at the visa stage, and sometimes earlier. Requirements are set by each government and change regularly — always use the current official checklist.

This guide is general information, not a guarantee of any outcome. Requirements change — always check official university and government sources, or ask a counsellor.
